We Are Off...

To Disneyland!! Yes, I know I haven't even posted about thanksgiving or the weeks before but I will catch up all at once. Or try too. It is Branden's birthday on Wednesday so we are packing up the fam and going down to the happiest place on earth for two days. Elton and Branden could not be happier and Peyton and I are along for the ride. Hope you all have a great next few days!

Sick

Elton has had a runny nose and Peyton has been sick with croup. Branden had to take her to ER last night at 12:15. She was having a hard time breathing so they had to give her some sort of steroid. She is doing better but SUPER clingy and doesn't want anyone but me. Yes I love and hate it at the same time =) Elton has been trying to take care of her and teach her new things. Some of which I'm not a huge fan of. The newest thing which is cute but making our screen get an even bigger hole, the kids like to feed the dogs through the hole. =0 Peyton laughs and Elton tells her all about the dogs and gives them there treats. Elton is so sweet to her!

Happy 40th!

On Saturday we went to my close friends surprise 40th Birthday. The kids weren't feeling real great but we stayed long enough for the surprise part. I had to take a picture of the cake it was AMAZING. One of her friends made it, she loves I Love Lucy, and that was the theme of the party.

Uncle Sean

On Friday we had a pizza date with my brother Evan and Micah before the Buena/Ventura Football game. When we showed up to Toppers we had a surprise guest... Uncle Sean! Elton was so excited. Sean is like another brother to me and another very special Uncle to Elton, Micah and Peyton. It is always a fun time when he is in town, well until he lets you baby girl roll off a bed. =) We love you Uncle Sean and my kids are so blessed to have you around!

I love how all kids are looking somewhere else!

Travel Town

Last Wednesday Elton had the day off of school so Branden and I packed up the car and headed down to Travel Town in LA. Its a free museum full of old trains. It was really cool and Elton loved it. You can go on all the old cabooses, dinner cars, old cranes. It was pretty amazing. We then went to lunch in Burbank and had a fabulous time Ikea. OK so I had a fabulous time in Ikea, the Hub and kids were good sports about it. We had a great family day that was definitely needed.

Funny Boy

OK so I try and put most of the funny things that Elton says on here, but then I was thinking that maybe they wouldn't be so funny to others. So if they offend or you think I'm crazy for the things that he says, Sorry I still think they are funny!

Last week his teacher, who he has had for two weeks, pulled me aside to tell me this story.

The class was doing there school work and everything was quiet when all of a sudden Elton says: Sorry guys I just farted!

The teacher said that nobody even noticed that he had until he announced it! She said that she and her husband had the best laugh over the weekend about it. I'm so glad that he can entertain you.

OK so then this morning we were over at my moms for breakfast with the family and Uncle Sean. Elton and Micah had been wrestling and got a little to crazy so I took Elton to have a talk.

M: Elton you need to listen when someone tell you stop... (Elton interrupts)
E: Mom I need to tell you something really important!
M: What?
E: Mom you have a splinter on your face?
M: I do? where?
E: Right there!

He was pointing under my eye brow! I guess that means its time for a waxing!!

Bubble Bath

Tomorrow Elton is taking school pictures and I was supposed to take him to get his hair cut. But the day got crazy and I forgot. GO FIGURE! So I being the master barber that I am, gave him one. Don't worry it looks fine! After I shaved his head he wanted to take a bubble bath. He loves them. He puts them ALL over the walls, his head, his body and even the bathroom floor. But tonight he was really excited because he got to have his first bubble bath with Peyton and they were loving every minute of it.

Osabi

All week Elton has been asking if we can go to Osabi for dinner. Finally on Friday night we decided that it was time to go, plus Branden was ready to be out of the house. Elton was so excited. My parents joined us and it was a really fun and funny time. It was Peyton's first time and she was NOT so excited about the man with the funny hat cooking the food. She was checking him out the whole time and making the silliest noises, I think it was her way of letting us know this man is CREEPY. Elton on the other hand couldn't get enough of the fire, funny tricks and of course the shrimp. He ate so many shrimp I don't know how he didn't turn into one =) Thanks Nana and Gramps for joining us.

Karate

Elton has started Karate and he loves it! Branden took him for his first lesson on Friday and as they were leaving he asked if he could go the next day. So he is now going 3 days a week and its been awesome. He loves to show off his moves =) but he does it very carefully so no babies get hurt. Hopefully next lesson I can take him and get some video, I asked Branden to do it but he gave me a look. I guess its a mom thing to do the video and pictures =)

Little Helper

Now that Peyton is crawling she is EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING! Seriously!! I was doing the dishes the other day and I turned around to find my little girl sitting so proud on the dishwasher, you know just hanging out! I was laughing so hard, it was really cute. I guess she just wanted to help me =)

Pumpkin Party

For Holloween we had a little party over at my parents. We had a a jolly jump, pin the nose on the pumpkin, pinata which my dad had to break open for the kids and then we did some trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. The kids had a blast and it was just a fun time hanging out. Thanks everyone!

Carving with Gramps

Elton went with his class to the pumpkin patch and since then he has been dying to carve his pumpkin. Since Branden hasn't been able to be up much we asked Gramps if he would want to help out. Elton loved it but didn't want to touch any of the inside goopy stuff. I think that's the best part =) While we were over at my parents Peyton was getting into her own kind of trouble. She is such a sweet little girl. She didn't really know what to think of the pumpkin but she sure liked the candy! No we didn't let her eat.

Sweet Moments

A week ago today (Tuesday) Branden had knee surgery. He not only had a torn ACL but the doctors also saw a torn meniscus. So he got 2 surgeries for the price of one. Nice right? Wrong! It has been pretty crazy with by better half down for the count. I know that I definitely miss him, but the kids have missed him so much more! Elton can't wait to have his daddy back for some park days, pool time and some extra fun smack down. Elton has been such a big helper taking daddy his ice packs and meds. He is so sweet. He was really needing some time with daddy so they decided to watch a movie together, since that's about all Branden can really do right now! I love it when they are together!

Favor?

About 2 weeks ago my mom called and had asked me to be praying for my brother Joey. He was trying out for a lead role for the next play at school. So I had just picked Elton after talking with her, and as you know I tend to burst out in prayer while driving:

M: Lord please show Joey favor and let him get this part.

My little friend chimes in...

E: Hey mom why does God need to do Uncle Joe a favor?

He is so funny! I swear he says the funniest thing sometimes.

And by the way Joey got the lead role. I guess praying in the car works =)
