Bridal Shower

This past Saturday was my cousin Taylor's bridal shower. We are so excited for her and Matt. We cant wait for Matt to finally be part of our family. After this wedding we will only have one girl cousing left! Crazy how time is flying and how we are all growing up!

The Boys

This past Friday Elton and his friend Chaz decided that they wanted to do something "SPECIAL". So for them that meant pizza and a movie. How easy is that! So what movie did they choose none other than STAR WARS of course and it had to be pepperoni pizza and for dessert of course it was Popsicles. They really love playing together and I really love listening to them play.

Singing In The...

MUD! Yesterday when Elton came home from school he wanted to play in the rain so bad. I thought it was a great idea, but then he wanted to go in the backyard. At first I thought that was great because then I could be in the house instead of freezing my buns off in the front yard. But it soon turned MUDDY. Oh sure, he was thinking it was great and thought it would be great for a dog too. Oh well nothing a little soap and water couldn't fix later. Hope you all are having fun on these crazy rainy days.

Oh Yes We DID!

Yesterday, Monday, was a holiday for Elton and we needed something to do! So what did the Wenger family decided to do? Oh drive to L.A. on one the rainiest days of the year, so far! Yes, we were desperate to get out! Yes, we obviously didn't have our thinking caps on. But yes, we had a great time. We went down to the Brea Tar Pits and looked at Dinosaurs and all the fun stuff that goes with it! Elton loved every minute of it! All the bones, tar, dirt and mud puddles a little boy could ask for. It was really fascinating actually. There were short documentaries to watch, tar to pull at and LOTS of bones. If anyone ever wants to go, we are up for it again. Just not when its raining =)

Happy Birthday, Ashley!

Over the weekend we went to Elton's, best school, friend Ashley's birthday at Pump It Up. Its only the best place to wear your kid out and put them to bed early place ever!! Come on moms can I get an AMEN =) Anyway Elton and Ashley were connected at the hip the whole time. They are so sweet together. Ashley's parents and I were getting a good laugh from the stories that the kids come home with about each other. They just think the world of each other. Everyday when I get Elton from school they are wanting to have a play day. I hate to say it but I think it might be love =) But really it was a fun birthday and Elton could wait to get to school today to see her and ask about all her presents. So sweet!

This lovely Friday morning the Wenger fam had the honor of having "baby Ben", as Elton calls him, over for some playtime. Elton woke up not very excited that his sister was playing with his trains but then he saw there was a special little person playing with his train set and proceeded to not worry about his sister and told Ben ALL the names and titles of the trains. I'm sure that Ben took notes and remembers all that was said =) But really the kids had a great time playing and got along so well. Peyton loved having a friend that wanted to stand at the sliding door with her and scream at the dogs, I guess its the cool thing to do=)

Anxious

OK so for those that know me I don't openly share my feelings, like at ALL! But for some reason the last few day I have been feeling really anxious about death. I know so morbid, but really thinking about me dieing and it makes so sad to think of my babies and my hubby. I mean come on what would they do without me? Who would clean, make them breakfast lunch and dinner, pray with them at bedtime and do night songs, do the laundry, make afternoon coffee, make up silly songs about nothing, cheer for the Cowboys during football season the Cardinals during baseball season and the list could go on and on. I just love my little family and I want to see where and what God has planned for us, I just really don't want to miss out on anything. Hopefully I'm not going crazy and others have felt this way, if not I guess I need some meds or something =)

Thursday

Yesterday a package came for Branden, nothing to unusual, but when he got home he gave it to ME! It was an early birthday present... a new camera. WOO HOO!! I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. I feel like I have been taking pictures non stop, OK not really but I have been using it and the pictures are turning out so good. What a difference a good camera makes =) So last night with the camera I was taking pictures of Peyton since Elton was at AWANA. I was trying to make cookies and she was "helping", really more like driving me crazy! She is such a sweet girl I cant believe that in 6 weeks she will be 1!! Anyway after making the cookies and after AWANA Uncle Evan and Uncle Sean and Micah came over to enjoy the cookies and have some fun.

Friday!

Last night we went donw to the beach for some much needed family time. Since getting back into routine with work, school, karate and other things we need to take a break and hang out. We walked and talked and just had fun being together. Peyton loved being wrapped up in her snuggie just crusin and people watching, every once in a while we would hear a very girlie scream or giggle. She is too much girl sometimes, I swear =) Elton was having a great time speeding down the promenade on his scooter almost running people over and laughing. Plus the waves were HUGE and Elton loved watching the surfers. He wanted to go in the water so bad, thank goodness it was alittle bit cold becuae I was so not looking forward to getting wet. Soon enough I wont have an excues and he will be wanting to be playing at the beach. Anyway... we had a great Friday just being together. Hope you all are having a good weekend.

Can You...

As I was sitting at the table just a few minutes ago skyping with my sister. Elton and his friend Chaz ran past down to Elton's room to go play. They are so funny when they are playing. So I sit talking with my sister we hear all of a sudden:

E: Can someone wipe my bottom?

I start laughing and say yes just a minute, then I hear:

Branden: Hey Chaz want to help your friend out?

Chaz says: Ah.. I don't even know how to wipe my own bottom!

I was laughing so hard these boys are hilarious!

Christmas Cards

This morning I was going through our christmas cards and was talking to myself about what to with them when all of a sudden I hear:

"Umm mom why don't we sell them to someone that doesnt get any cards"

I think to myself what a cute idea, too bad he has no idea that you gift someone a card you dont make them BUY it!
