Tonight after dinner Branden and Elton decided that it was time that Peyton had her highchair out. Next week she goes for her check up and she gets to start eating baby food. Yummy! So the boys had a great time putting it together and even more fun playing with the box. Elton LOVED it! He wanted us to tape him in and pretend we were sending him to Africa! Peyton enjoyed watching the fun and will like it even more when she knows that it means food time =)
Getting ready to be sent off =

Feet
So if you haven't noticed Elton has HUGE feet for a 4year old, size 13 to be exact. Branden and I went on a date Saturday then shopping for shoes. Elton grows and wears out his shoes so fast. Anyway we got him some really cool ones with skulls on them, he was very excited to wear them.
E: "Mom can I wear my new scone shoes?"
M: "You want what?"
E: "My new scone shoes with the skeleton"
M:" I think you mean skull"
E: "Yeah... that's what I said mom." (he had a look like I was so clueless)
Oh the the funny looks they give at such a young age.

Father's Day Part 1
Getting ready to go! What studs
This morning Branden and I woke up early, I had to bake a cake and get things ready for our family bbq. Both the kids were still sleeping, it was so nice to have coffee and chat and tell him how blessed I am to have him in my life as a hubby and a daddy. He is so perfect for our family! I couldn't ask for anything more. Then after the niceness =) both the kids woke up and we gave Branden his gift and were running around getting ready for church. We then came home for tri-tip, salad, fruit and cake with Branden's side of the family. We had so much fun!! Uncle Shaun had just bought a new "toy"... a go cart, and he had to share it with us =) Elton was on that thing seriously for half an hour! We just kept changing drivers, he did not want to get off that thing. He was having a blast riding around the neighborhood with his little bike helmet, every time he passed by he gave a little thumbs up. I loved watching him smile every time he took off. Thanks for the fun rides Uncle Shaun and happy first fa
ther's day.
Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Rotunno!

Friends, Pool and Pee
Today was yet again BUSY! It was a great day though, Elton slept til 10:00! Yes, 10 it was amazing. I watched some little friends, Caleb and Jackson, this morning and felt really bad that Elton slept the whole time they were over. Elton missed out they are two very funny boys and very smart =) We then tried to figure out what to do the rest of the day and picked the pool. It was so hot today that it seemed to be the best choice. Some other friends met us there Cadence, Lyric and Ben. I think they swam for 2 hours and had a great time. Thank goodness Peyton decided that it was nap time she slept the whole time we were swimming. It worked out perfect. While we were enjoying the pool Branden was at home working and sweating his buns off, he is building Elton and Peyton there very own fort/swing set. Elton is super excited! I will have to put up pictures as it progresses. I think it will turn out pretty nice. After we got home and got everyone ready for a "quiet time" I was able to run some errands and do mommy things for daddy things (fathers day gifts) When I got back we got ready to go to dinner at Wood Ranch with some friends the Hester's and Stone's. We had a great time even though we had to wait an hour. It was so worth it! The food was good, the laughs and friends were good and Peyton slept the whole time. She must be growing. To end the evening we are walking to the car and Elton decides that he has to go pee, yes pee! So he pulls down his pants in the middle of some parked cars and he goes, yes he goes, right there in front of us all. That boy is always full of surprises and he gave us a good laugh. Thanks buddy boy!

Poppa Phil
Since this is the week before Father's Day I thought I should do something about the GREAT AMAZING dads and grandpa's in our life. Branden's dad has always been a great guy and now that there are little ones around he has become and a really great grandpa! He comes over and stops by once or twice a week to see the kids, Elton always loves it. He and Poppa Phil are good buddies =) They play cars, starwars, cowboys and just do funny things. Tonight Poppa Phil and Gramma Paula came over and brought homemade brownies and fudge sauce with some ice cream. Paula's fudge sauce is AWESOME! Anyway while I was dishing up all the goodies and making some coffee Elton and Poppa Phil are of course playing STAR WARS and making all sorts of fun noises! Thanks Poppa Phil for always making time for playing and enjoying the kids, they love it and LOVE YOU! Oh Peyton got in on the fun too =)

Ladies Night
Friday night was Auntie Lori's birthday so a few of the ladies went to dinner downtown to celebrate. It was a fun time of talking and laughing and even some ice cream. Peyton and Elton got to have some Gramps and Daddy time. Peyton also took a bottle while I was gone! It was so liberating to know she would do that =) and it was so nice to have a night out. Happy Birthday Auntie Lori!
Little Boy Big Heart
Four years ago our very good family friend Tim Garrety died in a motorcycle accident. He and my dad and another friend started Skate Street. When he died they closed Skate Street and I got one of the shirts, it now fits Elton and we call it the Uncle Tim shirt. Elton is named after Tim. Anyway this moring Elton was wearing the shirt and this is what he had to say.
E: Mom I think I want to go to heaven and meet Uncle Tim.
N: Umm... I wish you could but it doesnt work like that.
E: Well Jesus always brings us back to our mommies and daddies and he always keeps us safe.
I then went on to explain how that whole heaven thing works. Oh out of the mouth of little babes. You have to love it. So sweet I almost cried!

Movie Night
Tadpoles to Frogs
Elton's class has a "pet" frog called Tadpole. He is a little stuffed frog, that has clothes and a little suitcase with lots of fun things in it. Each kid gets to take him home for the weekend during the school year. Its a very fun class thing. So there class theme is the frogs and tadpoles. They made class shirts for the last day of school, hopefully you can see his shirt. Today the whole school got to bring food and have an all school bbq. Its always fun for the kids and great for the parents to chat and talk about summer plans. Elton loves schools and will really miss Ms. Nora next year, she is the best teacher EVER. Luckily we are family friends so we wont miss her too much. =)
We are looking forward to next year with the fabulous 4's. We cant wait to see who our teacher will be.=) Have a great summer FBDS!

Saunders and Sponseller Reunion
Elton was totally into it, he seriously could not get enough!

Most of the kids went swimming and some got to eat dessert in the jacuzzi! They loved it, it was a special treat.
We also watched the Lakers and Orlando game. It was very good and way to close. Way to go Magic!!
The soon to be Sponseller Family. Kristen and her family also grew up with Saunders. I don't know how we are not all related some how=)
It was so good to see all of you. Hope you have a safe and good trip back home!

Scared?
This morning Elton woke up and just wanted to lay in his bed, so I joined him. It seems that is when we have the funniest conversations, just laying down and talking. Here is the one we had today.
E: Mom you know what scares me?
M: No, what?
E: Nothing!
M: WOW! You must be really brave.
E: Yeah it's really serious to be scared. Do mommies and daddies get scared?
M: I would be scared if you or sister or daddy got hurt.
E: HA! I'm not going to get hurt my skin is strong.
Oh little boys they think they are so tough and nothing can hurt them. If only they could stay that innocent, right? He is so sweet and at a great, fun and yet trying age. He is the best little boy and growing too fast.

Happy Birthday Micah D!
Today was Micah's 3rd birthday party. Evan, Kristen, the Plums and Sponsellers planned a great and very fun party! It was at the park and Elton was so excited. He woke up wanting to wear his fireman outfit, but we made him wait for after church =) Then when we got there he was even more excited to see a real firetruck! It was very cool! He had the best time running around on the play ground, shooting water from the fire hose, taking a ride in the firetruck, climbing the ladder, eating cake and just being the cutest little fireman. It was really a great time. Then family got together and had a very good dinner and had fun celebrating Micah. The boys just ran around crazy, the adults got to visit and Peyton got to fuss. All in all it was a super time. I can't believe that he is 3 already. Where has the time gone? We are so blessed to have Micah in our family. Happy Birthday Micah D! We love you.
This was the only shot I could get with both the boys. They wouldn't look at me at the sametime, go figure! =)
